Experian Credit Report

An Experian credit report comes from one of the three major credit reporting agencies. In 1996, Experian bought out part of TRW, and like TRW, it offers a free credit report. Experian services are easily accessible via the Internet and, in addition the their free credit report, they offer a variety of credit tracking services designed to meet the needs if both the individual and of businesses.

An important feature, with the widespread increase in identity theft, offered by Experian is e-mail notification of changes in credit status, enabling their users to keep a close watch on their credit information. It is important for the consumer to remember that a credit report is complete only after information from all three of the major credit reporting agencies has been reviewed. These agencies do not share or exchange information, so the consumer must take care to get a credit report that makes use of data from all three of these sources.
