Erase Negative Credit

This is the term that refers to the removal of negative entries of a person’s credit rating so that they can regain a positive standing.

Creditor cooperation is vital to the deletion of negative entries. You can't always erase negative credit information from a credit report. You can, however, soften it dramatically by filing a statement explaining the situation leading to your bad credit.

The statement should be of 100 words or less; request that this statement also be included in your credit report and sent to any prospective creditor. It will let creditors know your side of the story, easing the damage from negative credit information.

Also, approaching creditors to negotiate repayment plans that sincerely demonstrate your ability to make regular payments. In response, your positive credit rating can be restored. It won’t work every time but it is certainly worth the effort of trying.
